Unfortunately, due to the amount of rain in the last 24 hours, fields have been closed by Reach 11. All NYF games have been cancelled.
We greatly apologize for the situation. If there were anything we could do within our power to get teams on fields, we'd do it. A full refund of bid fees will be given and further communication will occur by email with team captains.

As you have probably already noticed, the rain is much heavier than forecast and this is giving us some problems this morning with regard to our tournament. Unfortunately, the Reach 11 complex has closed their fields for Saturday. I know you have all traveled and gone through great lengths to be here, and I sincerely apologize for all inconvenience this has caused you. All games scheduled for today are cancelled.
We are doing the best we can to assess the situation and salvage the tournament as best we can, and are working with Reach 11 to still hold games tomorrow (Sunday). Please look for an email soon with more information.

"Many teams are staying at the tournament hotel, which I am excited about. We have a shuttle service that can transport teams to and from the fields. The shuttle will run from 8:30 to 9:45 on Saturday morning, and 5:30 to 6:30 (or when teams finish) in the evening. Now, not everyone can cram on at 9:45, so plan on getting there earlier to make sure you aren't late for your first game (please please please don't be the team that is late!). The shuttle will run from 8:30 to 9:15 on Sunday and after Women's Finals is over.
"There will be no captains meeting, but game discs and programs will be available at Frisbee central. Please stop by and say hello. Stan said he misses all of you and wants a high-five!
"I have three scorekeepers out helping collect scores, but reporting your scores is still each team's responsibility. Find your scorekeeper early and remember to give him/her the results so we can smoothly transition into crossover games and get the Sunday bracket prepared.
"I can't stress this one enough. There is a strict no alcohol policy for this facility. Last year almost everyone did an awesome job following this rule. Unfortunately there were a few areas where tons of beer cans and bottles were left in the trash or laying around on the ground. If I see alcohol trash again this year I am going to have to investigate, and I really hate being that guy. VOTS and USA Ultimate uses these fields for other events, and I would be very disappointed if our relationship with this facility was jeopardized over a few lousy drinks.
"Dogs are not allowed at the facility. Please do not bring them. If you have family or friends that plan on attending then please inform them."

The party planners have found an all-encompassing location, Comfort Inn Phoenix - North. This hotel will provide transportation to and from the airport at a minimal cost, and a complimentary shuttle to and from the fields for the whole tournament weekend. They will be able to accommodate the entire 44 teams for lodging as well as a party.
