Women's

Venom (Tucson)

All interested women are invited to try out for Venom’s 2019 season! Starting our 8th year, we're excited to continue to be a center for women's ultimate in AZ, creating space to value and empower female players. The team is based in Tucson, with weekly practices in Tucson. This year we are opening up spots for out-of-town players who fit well with the team and can commit to: 4 practices per month in Tucson, remote team conditioning, and attending all our tournaments.

Tryouts are May 4, 8-11am and May 9, 8-10pm. Check out full details about 2019 tryouts, practices, and tournaments at Venom Ultimate.

Why play Venom? Venom is first and foremost a strong community of female ultimate players. We strive to create a team experience that enables growth as players and people—that is both fun and competitive. Venom’s culture builds on the collective strength and experience of our players and fosters creative, dynamic Ultimate Frisbee.

Master's

Project A.C.E. – Mixed Masters

Hello VOTS land!

We are excited to announce that a new Phoenix-based mixed masters team will be forming for the 2019 season! This team will compete at masters regionals in the hopes of earning a bid to master's nationals in Denver.

You are eligible to play in the masters division if you are 30 or older (for female players) or 33 or older (for male players) by the end of 2019.

Nationals, if applicable, is in Denver from July 19-21.

Crawl – Men's Masters

As of 4/3/19: No 2019 Update.

World Masters Ultimate Club Championship 2018

Local team master's mens team, Crawl, finished 10th out of 21 international teams at the World Flying Disc Federation's World Masters Championship in Winnipeg, Canada. They also tied for 3rd highest spirit score.

Master's is an age-restricted division of players age 33+ for men. Crawl placed 6th at USAU's 2017 national level championship.

Mixed

2018 Highlight: Coconino Classic

Phoenix area club mixed teams acquitted themselves well in competition at Flagstaff's Coconino Classic. ROBOS took home the championship over California's Long Beach Legacy and Rubix and Superstition battled for third.

Superstition

Superstition is a club mixed team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Our first tryout will be Thursday, May 2nd, at 7PM at Scottsdale Sports Complex.

Superstition is a competitive team that aims to perform well in the region as well mentor players and grow the sport of ultimate in the Valley.

All are welcome. Bring a light and a dark, cleats and water.

AMU

With 2019 club season right around the corner, we thought it was time to get the tryout party started! AMU is a newly created mixed team that has a large base of ultimate knowledge. The leadership of this team has played at a high level and wants to bring together the talent in the state to have a competitive team. April 10th is our open tryout date. We will have an invite only tryout at a later date. Please complete the forthcoming interest/availability form.
