About the team

After a stand out inaugural season, Phoenix Uprising is back for our sophomore season. We are looking to create a lasting foundation for women's club ultimate in Phoenix. We really want to develop our players' skills, play in competitive games, and have a kick ass time with our awesome teammates. Our goal is to compete for a spot at Nationals in the next 3-5 years.

Sprawl Tryout Dates and Early Season Schedule

Arizona Ultimate Community,

As summer approaches, Sprawl leadership has begun to plan our 2017 season. Although the entire season's schedule has yet to be determined as we wait to hear back from TDs and other clubs about potential tournaments, we do do have a plan for early season events and we wanted to get them out as soon as possible.

Team leadership is very excited about this upcoming season as we plan to build on our successful 2016 season. We see ourselves having the deepest and most talented roster Sprawl has ever seen. Getting in shape and fine tuning your throws should start to be on your radar in the upcoming weeks if you want to have a legitimate shot at making this team.

We hope to see some new faces at tryouts and on our roster, as Sprawl will continue to make a commitment to developing young talent in the state of Arizona.

Tryouts for Superstition's 2017 club season

Superstition competes in the mixed division. We emphasize teamwork, personal development and accountability, and we LOVE instant ramen. Team practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from May until September.

The tentative tournament schedule is as follows:

To make sure we get plenty of time with people making the time to try out, we ask that only players who are considering playing with the team as a practice or roster player join us for tryouts. Bring a light and a dark shirt and plenty of water.

Rubix Mixed Club Ultimate Team Tryouts

Both tryouts will be held at the ASU Polytechnic Campus SDFC Fields. Address: Innovation Way North, Mesa, AZ (Google Map ASU Softball Field - soccer fields are directly east; park either off of Tweet St. or at the corner of Innovation Way N and Innovation Way E.

As we did last year, we will be collecting a one-time payment of $5 from all participants to cover field costs, i.e. $5 regardless of whether you attend 1 or both tryouts.

All interested players should complete the Rubix 2017 Player Interest Survey before May 14th to explicitly express your interest and provide us with your season availability and tryout attendance. A tentative list of tournaments and practices are included in the survey.

Disclaimer: Tryouts are open and intended to be fun for all, but please try to avoid distracting those focused on trying out for the team if you are out only for fun or already committed to another club team.
